Is the challenge realistically accessible to all Muslim women, regardless of financial or family circumstances?

Some may worry that the challenge is out of reach for many Muslim women, whether because of the cost of participation, or because busy home and family responsibilities make it difficult to find the time. Is there a way to make participation more accessible?

Answer

This is a fair and important concern, and the aim is very much for the challenge to be open to everyone, not just those who are financially comfortable.

On cost, approaching local businesses for sponsorship or subsidy can make a real difference in lowering the barrier to participation for individual participants.

On time, encouraging other family members to take on additional responsibilities so that participants can free up the time needed is a reasonable ask for most families, though it’s recognised that some households’ circumstances make this genuinely difficult.

There isn’t a single fix that works for every situation, but a range of approaches can help make participation more realistic for a wider range of sisters.
