Are venues used for the obstacle course element generally comfortable with participants wearing full Muslim dress, or do organisers commonly encounter resistance?

Answer

Most assault course venues are remarkably accommodating, and have plenty of experience hosting diverse groups, including women in traditional Muslim dress.

Many venues have, in fact, seen far more unusual outfits โ€“ from hen parties to wedding attire to full superhero costumes โ€“ so a group of sisters in abayas and hijabs is nothing out of the ordinary by comparison.

It helps to mention the group’s needs early when booking. Most venues welcome advance notice and are happy to discuss practical arrangements, such as providing female marshals, much as they would for any other accessibility requirement.

Venues that work with charitable and community groups typically go out of their way to make sure everyone has a positive experience.
